Android TV OneTV Connect on Android TV: where it stands
The Android TV build is real and running — live TV, EPG, Plex, Jellyfin, Trakt and Sport Centre all work on Android TV boxes, Google TV and NVIDIA Shield. It is not on the Play Store yet. Here is exactly what is done, what is missing, and how to be told the day testing opens.

Stage 1 Done Foundations — done
A native Android TV app written in Kotlin and Compose: M3U, Xtream Codes and Stalker sources, the EPG guide, three playback engines (Media3, MPV, VLC), search and settings.

Porting what shipped on Apple TV since spring: the current design language, the on-device programme database for a 7-day guide, sport improvements and the remaining integrations.

Closed testing first, then an open beta. No public date is promised until the build has been through real testing on real TVs.

Sync works within each ecosystem — iCloud between your Apple devices, a dedicated backend between your Android devices — but favourites and watch progress are not shared across the two yet.
Android questions, answered
When will OneTV Connect for Android TV be released?
There is no public release date yet, and we would rather say that than invent one. The build already runs on real hardware with live TV, EPG, Plex, Jellyfin, Trakt and Sport Centre, but it has not been through Play Store testing. Join the waitlist and you get a single email the day testing opens.
Which Android devices will be supported?
Android TV and Google TV devices, NVIDIA Shield, and Android-based smart TVs running Android 8.0 or later. A phone and tablet version is planned after the TV release, not before it.
Will my playlists and favourites sync between Apple TV and Android?
Not at first. Apple devices sync through iCloud and the Android build uses its own backend, so the two do not yet share favourites or watch progress. Cross-platform sync is on the roadmap.
Is it the same app as the Apple version?
Same product, rebuilt natively for Android in Kotlin and Compose rather than wrapped or ported. Most day-to-day features are there; the table above lists exactly what is not.
Does OneTV Connect provide channels or content?
No. OneTV Connect is a player for the playlists and sources you already have. It does not provide, host or sell any channels, streams or content, on Android or on Apple.
