Play, pause, skip.
Now Playing shows the title, a progress bar, the time left and when it will end. Pause, or go back or forward 30 seconds. On live TV, change channel or jump back to live when you have fallen behind.
The remote that never goes missing. OneTV Connect comes with an Apple Watch app. It talks to the Apple TV directly over your home Wi-Fi, so pausing, changing channel or picking up a film takes a glance and a tap.

FROM YOUR WRIST
Now Playing shows the title, a progress bar, the time left and when it will end. Pause, or go back or forward 30 seconds. On live TV, change channel or jump back to live when you have fallen behind.
Your favourite and recent channels, each with its logo, the programme on air and how far through it is. Tap one and the Apple TV switches straight to it.
Movies and episodes you started are listed with the time left. One tap resumes them on the television at the exact position, whether they come from IPTV, Plex, Jellyfin or Emby.
Browse live channels, movies and series by category. Each title has its poster, year, rating and synopsis; series open onto their seasons and episodes.
Switch the soundtrack or turn subtitles on without looking for the Siri Remote. The page appears only when what you are watching has tracks to choose from.
Turn the crown to set the volume in 5 % steps, with a detent you can feel. It changes OneTV Connect’s own playback level, not your TV or receiver.
SPORT CENTRE ON THE WATCH
The teams and leagues you follow on the Apple TV or the iPhone appear on the watch with their live score. Open a match for the timeline, line-ups, statistics and the channels showing it, then press “Watch on…” to put it on the television.
A goal taps your wrist, and so do kick-off, half-time and full-time. Cards and whole-league alerts are there if you want them.

HOW IT CONNECTS
The watch sends its commands directly to OneTV Connect on the Apple TV over your home Wi-Fi. Nothing goes through the iPhone, so it keeps working when the phone is in another room.
Bonjour discovery first, then a scan of your local network and the addresses that worked before. Typing an IP address is there only as a last resort.
No account and no cloud relay for the remote. Only the live scores come from the OneTV sports service, which is why they also work away from home.
No. Once installed, the watch talks to the Apple TV directly over Wi-Fi. When the iPhone app is open it can share richer lists with the watch, but it never relays commands.
No. The watch app is a remote for OneTV Connect on Apple TV. On iPhone and iPad you control playback on the device itself.
The remote needs the watch and the Apple TV on the same local network. Live scores and match alerts come from the internet, so they work anywhere your watch is connected.
Any Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later. The watch app comes with OneTV Connect on your iPhone; if it does not appear, install it from the Watch app on the iPhone, under Available Apps.
No. It sets OneTV Connect’s own playback level. The television and the AV receiver keep their own volume, controlled by the Siri Remote or HDMI-CEC.
By default, goals plus kick-off, half-time and full-time for the teams you follow. Cards and alerts for every match of a league are optional, and a cooldown of 0 to 120 seconds keeps the watch from buzzing twice for the same moment.
