Changelog 2.9
OneTV Connect 2.9 is the household release. Profiles arrive on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad: everyone gets their own space, with their playlists, favorites, history, resume points, list, theme and their Plex, Jellyfin, Emby or Trakt accounts. Everything syncs across devices through iCloud, a profile can be locked with a 4-digit code or turned into a child profile, and the "Who's watching?" screen now appears before the app loads. Anyone with a single profile never sees an extra screen. The library becomes easier to read. TMDB, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores now appear directly on posters, alongside a quality badge (4K, 1080p, 720p, HDR or CAM) that lets you judge a movie before opening it. Categories can finally be renamed and reordered from the Apple TV, and channels can be filed into your own folders — Sport, Kids, Music — with the icon you like and multi-selection to move fast. Day-to-day comfort improves throughout: a glowing halo follows the active section in the sidebar, the "Platinum" theme joins the collection, the player's "More" menu has been redesigned on iOS, the audio track language finally follows your device language, and channels without an EPG id are matched to the guide automatically by name. When a server stops responding, a help screen explains that neither your subscription nor your credentials are at fault, and shows what to do. On the fixes side, this release goes after what wore people down: playback that kept running in the background with the server connection left open, an iPhone that got hot and drained with the app closed, surround sound and Dolby Atmos falling back to stereo after a pause, erratic fast forward, empty episode pickers on Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and network shares, watched content never sent to Trakt, empty pages for accented titles, and playlist updates that are now sequential over a single connection — a real relief for subscriptions limited to one connection.
New
- Profiles (Pro): everyone in the household gets their own space — playlists, favorites, history, resume points, My list, theme and Plex, Jellyfin, Emby or Trakt accounts are kept separate, and synced with your iPhone. Lock a profile with a 4-digit code, or make it a child profile. With a single profile, nothing changes
- Channel folders: create your own folders (Sport, Kids, Music…), file several channels at once, with the icon you like
- Ratings on posters: TMDB, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic right on the posters, everywhere in the app
- Quality shown on posters: a 4K, 1080p, 720p, HDR or CAM badge before you even open a movie
- New "Platinum" theme (Pro): all-metal and fully monochrome, chrome silver on deep graphite
- Sidebar: a glowing halo follows the section you are on, in your theme's colours
- Manage categories: rename them and change their order, for live TV as well as movies and shows
- Sport Center (Pro): boxing, UFC, PFL and major football fixtures featured in a banner, with names, venues and photos corrected by hand
- Audio language: the track picked automatically finally follows your language, separately for live TV and movies
- TV guide: channels without an EPG id are matched automatically by name, or linked by hand
- Multi Screen (Pro): recently watched channels in the picker, and the mosaic fills in one go
- New help screen when a server stops responding: neither your subscription nor your credentials are at fault, and what to do is explained with a QR code
- Settings: picking a category on the left takes you straight to the first setting
- Redesigned "More" menu in the player: options grouped by purpose, and the aspect ratio changes in a single tap
Improved
- Translations reviewed across all 30 languages: garbled brand names, English leftovers and stray quotation marks fixed
- Text size now honoured on the last screens that ignored it, with no clipped text
- Movies at 24 frames per second without HDR switch your TV to 24 Hz
- "Skip intro" takes focus as soon as it appears: one press is enough
- Playlists updated one at a time, over a single connection
- Movie with no online information: new presentation, sharp poster and playback buttons in plain sight
- Battery life: the phone got hot and the battery drained, even with the app closed. Leaving the app during playback now switches to Picture-in-Picture, otherwise playback stops cleanly and resumes when you come back
- Apple TV remote (Pro): exchanges, constant until now, are spaced out and shut down as soon as you leave the app
- iPhone home screen: nothing overlaps at the top on smaller models any more, referral banner included
Fixed
- Playback did not stop when you left the app: the channel kept running, server connection open. It now resumes when you come back, at the live edge or the exact position
- A movie could freeze on a black screen and restart from zero after a server drop
- Fast forward and rewind: several clicks in a row sent playback anywhere
- Surround sound, Dolby Atmos included, dropped back to stereo after a pause
- Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and network shares: empty in-player episode picker and no auto-play of the next episode
- Expanded sidebar and Settings: the Back button did nothing, or quit the app
- Trakt: watched content was not sent as watched, and your lists sometimes showed something else entirely
- Titles with accents or unusual characters: empty page, no poster and no synopsis
- Series search: a poster could open the page of a completely different show
- A profile with no playlist showed another household profile's content
- Changing a playlist's URL: channels were still launched on the old address
- Immersive home: the title artwork was missing on some movies and shows
- Movies: the backdrop stayed black, or showed an older film with the same title
- Info panel: the EPG tab opened on the first programme of the day instead of the one on air
- Closing the Picture-in-Picture window from the home screen released nothing: the app kept running
- MPV player (Pro): leaving the app cut the sound, and Picture-in-Picture was only reachable through the button
- The Picture-in-Picture window appeared distorted with the "Fill" or "Stretch" aspect ratio
- Pausing, leaving the app and coming back: the picture stayed frozen
- Renaming a movie or show category had no effect
- Sport Center: the app could close on very busy days, and a league banner was cropped on the sides
- Playlists updated one at a time: a failed update no longer empties your channel list
- Stability and improvements
- v2.8
Changelog 2.8
OneTV Connect 2.8 brings three headline features. The immersive home (Pro) turns every section of the home screen into a full-screen page, with the artwork as a backdrop, the title logo, a trailer that starts on its own and, on Apple TV, the channel playing right in the background. You can now change a channel's logo, picking from the logos found in your EPG sources, with syncing across your devices (Pro). And the whole Apple TV design has been unified: Settings, categories, channel lists and player panels now follow the top bar's visual language, with a completely reworked focus. Replay has been overhauled too: the page is redesigned in Liquid Glass, the current programme's details appear during playback, previous and next programme buttons are there, and skipping is now instant and accurate to the second. On the subtitle side, OpenSubtitles joins the online search: the same button queries two services at once, merges the results without duplicates and now covers every available language (Pro). On the playback side, Dolby Atmos finally comes out in real Atmos, interlaced channels move from 25 to 50 frames per second, and relaunching a channel you just left is instant again. Trakt picks up episodes marked as watched on trakt.tv, quality badges show up with Jellyfin and on every episode, and Sport Center displays LIVE instead of making its banners disappear. Finally, without a subscription, a discreet banner offers free Pro months for inviting your friends.
New
- New immersive home (Pro): every section becomes a full-screen page, with the artwork as a backdrop, the title logo, the rating and the synopsis. The trailer starts on its own, and on your favourite and recently watched channels the channel plays right in the background with the current programme. A long press on Play opens a full information panel. Turn it on in Settings > Appearance
- Change a channel's logo: long-press the channel, then "Change logo". The app suggests logos found in your EPG sources, accepts an image address or an XMLTV URL, and lets you restore the original logo. Custom logos sync across your devices (Pro)
- Every episode now shows its own quality badges (4K, HEVC, Dolby Vision, HDR, Atmos) right in the episode list
- Sport (Pro): 37 cinematic backdrops, one per discipline, behind the match information
- Referrals: without a subscription, a discreet banner reminds you that inviting friends earns free Pro months, and opens a QR code to scan with your phone
- New immersive home (Pro): every section becomes a full-screen page, with the artwork as a backdrop, the title logo, the rating and the synopsis. Swipe horizontally to change movie, show or channel, swipe vertically to change section, with haptic feedback. Turn it on in Settings > Appearance, or from the button on the classic home
- Referrals: without a subscription, a discreet banner reminds you that inviting friends earns free Pro months, and "Share" opens your link's share sheet directly
- Online subtitles (Pro): OpenSubtitles joins the subtitle search. The same button now queries two services at once and merges their results without duplicates; if one is unavailable, the other keeps working
- Replay (Pro): page redesigned in Liquid Glass, current programme details during playback and previous/next programme buttons
Improved
- New unified design across the app: Settings, categories, channel lists and player panels now follow the top bar's visual language (glass surfaces, pills, light sheen), tinted with your theme colours
- Focus has been completely reworked: the highlighted item lifts up with a bright edge and a drop shadow instead of a plain coloured frame. White shows where you are, the theme colour shows state
- "Live TV": channel tiles are far easier to read from the couch, category separators have been redesigned, and the right-hand panel shows the current programme with its artwork, its synopsis and what's on next
- Trakt (Pro): your watched data refreshes when you come back to the app, and the time of the last successful sync is shown in the settings
- Visual parity with Apple TV: settings cards, Settings menu rows and channel tiles adopt the same language (surfaces, icon plates, hairlines)
- Immersive home (Pro): the artwork matches the one used on the movie or show page, topped with the official title logo, and backdrops are loaded at full resolution
- Immersive home (Pro): the sports view has been redesigned, with team crests in the background, a countdown to kick-off and live goal scorers
- Replay (Pro): skipping forwards and backwards is now instant and accurate to the second, with no silent or out-of-sync audio
Fixed
- Dolby Atmos: Dolby Digital Plus Atmos tracks only played their 5.1 part, with the height effects ignored; they now really come out in Atmos
- Interlaced channels finally play at 50 frames per second instead of 25, and the "Automatic Deinterlacing" setting is honoured
- Relaunching a channel you had just left was far slower, sometimes with a few seconds of black screen; zapping now starts instantly
- Trakt (Pro): an episode marked as watched on trakt.tv never showed up as watched, and an expired session was no longer reported
- Quality badges: they never appeared with Jellyfin, nor on show pages whose episode list takes a few seconds to arrive
- Sport Center (Pro): banners disappeared when the countdown ended instead of showing LIVE, and sometimes displayed a made-up start time
- The channel panel opened during playback now always lands on the channel you are watching
- When entering a "Live TV" category, focus now lands straight on the first channel
- Switching back from grid mode to list mode no longer showed the categories or the separators
- Pressing Back from the top bar quit the app by accident: it must now be pressed twice
- From a cast member's page, opening a movie or show from their filmography did not start playback
- Automatic playlist refresh was skipped for 24 hours when the system cut it short
- Quality badges: they never appeared with Jellyfin, nor on show pages whose episode list takes a few seconds to arrive. On iPad, show pages displayed none at all
- Immersive home (Pro): channels finally show the current programme's image and details, text and buttons are no longer cut off, trailers start playing, and "Find a source" properly opens the search window
- Immersive home (Pro): some movies and shows displayed the artwork and synopsis of a completely different title, or showed no information at all
- Stability and improvements
- v2.7
Changelog 2.7
OneTV Connect 2.7 puts Sport Center, the TV Guide and sound front and centre. Team and competition pages are fully redesigned: the official banner is showcased, with crest, squad, stadium, recent form, honours and Schedule, Standings, Teams, Broadcasts and About tabs, the whole page tinted in the team's colours (Pro). The match page gains a cinematic backdrop, both teams' crests and colours, a giant score, a kick-off countdown, and the stadium photo and capacity. The TV Guide has been rebuilt: a properly aligned grid, colour coding by genre, start and end times, a genre filter and, on Apple TV, a live preview of the highlighted channel (Pro). Programme reminders now appear full screen, with artwork and a button that switches straight to the channel (Pro). On picture and sound, OneTVPlayer now switches the TV to Dolby Vision, sends full HDR10 and HDR10+, and outputs the original Dolby Atmos to your receiver. Multichannel 5.1 and 7.1 audio is no longer downmixed to stereo. In Automatic mode, all playback now goes through our own player, Dolby Vision and HDR included, without opening a second connection to your server. Dolby Vision movies finally show accurate colours, and files falsely tagged as Dolby Vision play in their true HDR10 range. Personal sources take a step forward: Plex, Jellyfin and Emby browsing is redesigned on Apple TV with a large backdrop preview and built-in search, and the movie and series page gains Plex, Jellyfin and Emby tabs in the source picker (Pro). Opening in Infuse now passes the title, season and episode correctly and resumes playback in the right place (Pro). Two new features round out the release: channel reordering with a simple long press, and a referral programme that gives you a free month of Pro as soon as five friends install and use the app, with no code to enter. This version also fixes a great deal: the start-up freeze on "Preparing your dashboard", "Continue Watching" now syncing across your devices through iCloud, Replay jumping back to the start, the Dolby Vision picture freezing mid-film, subtitles on Dolby Vision, HDR and debrid movies, empty days in the guide, and many smoothness improvements in Live TV.

- v2.6
Changelog 2.6
OneTV Connect 2.6 is the release of our own player. OneTVPlayer, built entirely in house, becomes the default engine on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, for live TV as well as movies, series and catch-up: faster start-up, full quality 4K picture, reliable subtitles and far more stable playback during long sessions. The headline feature of this release is live control (Pro). You can pause any channel for as long as you like and rewind at any point, from the very second the channel starts, with nothing to set up. A fully scrubbable progress bar lets you move through the live stream, using the Siri Remote touchpad on Apple TV or your finger on iPhone and iPad, with an indicator showing how far behind you really are. Jumping back to live is instant, with no reload. On iPhone and iPad, native Picture in Picture also arrives. Sport takes a big step forward: the new My Sport row (Pro) puts your followed teams, leagues and competitions straight on the home screen with every match in the next 48 hours, match cards now show real crests, official colours and a stadium backdrop with the live score, the sports bar lists upcoming matches, and the statistics panel now works on general interest channels broadcasting a big match too. For everyday use, Apple TV gains three side bar styles, an adjustable dimming level for the information panel, a player badge, Multi Screen straight from the grid view, and completely redesigned playlist and EPG source windows. Movies and series now let you switch player and adjust colours during playback, remembered per title, and Dolby Vision and HDR files are automatically handed to AVPlayer. This version also fixes a great deal: live drop outs and black screens, playback stopping after a few minutes in 4K, the catch-up tab, categories showing channels from another source, duplicates in merged playlist mode, hidden category sync between iPhone and Apple TV, next episode autoplay, the Skip intro button, resuming playback with VLC, focus on movie and series pages on Apple TV, plus around thirty optimisations for smoother start-up, zapping and browsing.

Changelog 2.4
This update's main focus is Dolby Vision playback reliability on tvOS: fast-forward/rewind, subtitles, TrueHD Atmos audio, and HDR mode switching with KSPlayer are all fixed, and 4K Dolby Vision/HDR10 content from Emby servers now plays natively through AVPlayer with real quality badges on the detail page. iCloud backup is more trustworthy: playlists and EPG sources no longer disappear or reappear after a restore. Playlist management is faster and more reliable: deleting a playlist is now near-instant, Xtream playlists with a portal path in the URL work again, refreshes always complete, and fewer connections are made to reduce the risk of provider blocks on single-connection subscriptions. The catalog search window and the Manifest add-ons tab both received a premium visual redesign. Trakt sync now retrieves the full watchlist and history instead of stopping at 100 items. Several smaller fixes round out the release, including the episode selector for add-on series, tvOS focus behavior after closing the player, and easier tapping in the iOS live channel list.
New
- [tvOS] 4K Dolby Vision or HDR10 movies and shows from an Emby server now play through AVPlayer for true native Dolby Vision/HDR rendering, with automatic fallback if playback fails. (Pro)
- [tvOS] The movie/show detail page now shows quality badges (Dolby Vision, HDR10, 4K, codec, audio channels) for Emby and Plex content, matching Xtream playlists.
- [iOS/iPadOS] Close (X) button on the "Search in catalog" window.
Improved
- [tvOS] Much more precise navigation in the VOD progress bar with the Siri Remote touchpad: faster left/right swipe across the full width, and an iPod-style rotating wheel that responds instantly for scrubbing through a movie with a flick of the finger.
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] Reduced unnecessary connections to Xtream servers to lower the risk of temporary blocking by the provider, especially on single-connection subscriptions.
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] Premium redesign of the "Search in catalog" window: fading cinematic backdrop (title artwork), rating, year, genres and synopsis, and "Sources" results shown as cards with poster.
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] "Manifest" tab (add-ons): premium cards with real Dolby Vision, HDR, 4K, HEVC, audio and source badges, per-add-on filters and more details. (Pro)
Fixed
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] For series played through an addon, the in-player episode selector now correctly lists all episodes (it previously stayed empty). (Pro)
- [tvOS] On Apple TV, playing a 4K HDR/Dolby Vision movie or series with KSPlayer now correctly switches the display into HDR mode (previously the picture stayed in SDR even though AVPlayer managed it).
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] Your playlists no longer disappear after restoring from iCloud. (Pro)
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] EPG sources and deleted items (playlists, EPG sources) are now properly saved to your iCloud backup: they no longer reappear after a restore. (Pro)
- [tvOS] More reliable fast-forward/rewind in Dolby Vision (KSPlayer, MPV, VLC, AVPlayer): playback no longer restarted from the beginning or got stuck after jumping in the timeline. (Pro)
- [tvOS] Subtitles could disappear after fast-forwarding on a Dolby Vision movie; they now remain available anywhere in the timeline. (Pro)
- [tvOS] On some Dolby Vision files with a TrueHD Atmos audio track, sound and the choice of languages and subtitles were unavailable; these files now play with sound and all languages available. (Pro)
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] Deleting a playlist triggered an unnecessary full reload (re-downloading every other playlist and the TV guide); it is now nearly instant.
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] Some Xtream playlists whose address included a portal path (e.g. "/c/") played no live channels and showed no TV guide; fixed.
- [tvOS/iOS/iPadOS] Refreshing an Xtream playlist could get stuck partway through and never finish; it now always completes.
- [tvOS] Some live channels would only start playing about one time in ten (an "invalid data" error); playback is now much more reliable.

- v2.3
Changelog 2.3
This release is built around one theme: reliability. The biggest fix is a full overhaul of iCloud sync — deleted favorites, history, hidden channels, EPG sources, categories and followed teams no longer silently come back after a sync, on both iOS and tvOS. The multi playlist "Live" merge mode also got a stability pass: categories now file under the correct divider and show/hide instantly across devices instead of snapping back or looping. Performance is the second big focus. Home and the TV Guide are now computed in the background and cached, cutting load and heat on both platforms; iOS specifically gets a major CPU and battery win by stopping live previews when idle or backgrounded, plus a much faster cold start even with huge channel lists. Playback got real upgrades: an HD/4K version picker for Plex, Emby and Jellyfin, 4K Direct Play, a Dolby Vision fix, faster hardware 4K decoding, and steadier MPV players on both platforms. Sport Center is more accurate (correct live match, hidden categories excluded from search, matches survive past midnight), and tvOS adds focus fixes, a smoother Live grid view, and persistent Xtream re-logins. Missing posters and titles are now auto-recovered from TMDB, and personal Trakt lists appear as Home rows. Overall: fewer sync surprises, less heat, smoother playback.
New
- HD/4K version picker on Plex, Emby and Jellyfin, Direct Play 4K on Emby and Jellyfin, new automatic deinterlacing option, uncached add-on movies now playable, long-press Play to search for a better version.
- Your personal Trakt lists now appear as rows on Home, choose which ones in Settings.
Improved
- Major performance and memory optimizations: Home and TV Guide data computed in the background and cached, 7-day guide loaded on demand, duplicate EPG channels merged, smoother navigation and scrolling, less heat.
- iOS: big CPU and heat reduction, much faster launch even with large channel lists, smoother app overall.
- tvOS: better focus handling, lands directly on the right button on movie and show pages, on the first channel in the TV Guide, stays on the tile when returning from fullscreen, and lands correctly in My List and History on open.
- Reworked scrub bar, with a larger touch area on iOS and a Siri Remote jog wheel with thumbnail on tvOS.
- Settings descriptions: internal codes replaced with readable names in every language.
Fixed
- iCloud sync reliability overhaul across the app: deletions no longer reappear after sync, and re-adding a deleted item works again.
- Multi playlist merge mode for Live: categories filed under the correct divider, categories with no divider shown separately, showing and hiding a category is instant and persists across devices, no more waits, snap-backs or reload loops.
- Player stability: no more MPV crash quickly browsing previews, MPV 4K memory capped and released under pressure, and on iOS the MPV 4K player pauses in the background instead of crashing.
- Dolby Vision (Profile 5/8/8.1) fixed, reliable resume position.
- Sport Center: the correct live match now shows in the banner, Dynamic Island and match pages, channel search excludes hidden categories, matches stay visible past midnight, the TV Channels tab stays available throughout the match, and on tvOS Multi Screen works from Sport Center and 4K lag from the World Cup banner is fixed.
- tvOS, Live grid view: hiding a channel stays on the current category without opening the sidebar, long-press OK reopens the channel menu, and startup no longer freezes with very large category lists.
- Missing posters and titles now auto-fetched from TMDB, including by name search.
- tvOS: new Xtream credentials entered after expiry kept after restart, no more reverting to the old ones.
- v2.2
