Quick Connect on Apple TV

No password to type on the Siri Remote. OneTV requests a 6-character code, you approve it from the Jellyfin web UI on any device, and you're signed in. Username/password is still available as a fallback if Quick Connect is disabled on your server.

True LAN auto-discovery

OneTV runs a pure POSIX UDP broadcast on port 7359 across every local subnet — no dependency on a flaky framework. Your Jellyfin server appears in the list within 5 seconds, even on aggressive home routers.

Multi-server aggregation

Add as many Jellyfin servers as you want — home, friends', remote VPS. Their libraries merge into a single Recently Added, Continue Watching and Search rail. Watch positions are tracked per-server.

Native intro skipper

OneTV reads Jellyfin's intro and outro markers (IntroSkipper plugin) and surfaces a "Skip Intro" button at the right moment — no Plex-only feature here.

Bi-directional favorites

Star a movie in Jellyfin web → it appears in OneTV's favorites. Star one in OneTV → it shows up in Jellyfin web. Same story for watch state and progress.

Unified Trakt scrobbling

Watching a Jellyfin episode? It scrobbles to Trakt via TMDB ID just like Plex and Emby would — one Trakt history, regardless of which server you used tonight.

Do I need a paid Jellyfin account?

No. Jellyfin is free and open-source — there is no premium tier. OneTV uses the standard Jellyfin API and works with any self-hosted server.

How does Quick Connect work?

OneTV asks your server for a one-time 6-character code. You go to your Jellyfin web UI (already signed in), open Quick Connect, type the code, and OneTV is paired. No password ever leaves your computer. Especially handy on Apple TV where typing is painful.

Can I use it without LAN access?

Yes. Enter your server URL manually (e.g. https://jellyfin.example.com) and OneTV connects over WAN. Quick Connect works over WAN too.

Does it work with the Hardware Acceleration on the server side?

Yes — that's purely a server-side feature. OneTV transcodes when needed via the standard Jellyfin transcoder. For 4K HEVC content, KSPlayer handles direct play even on Apple TV 4K (3rd gen).

Multiple Jellyfin servers in one app?

Yes. Add as many as you want — they appear in a single source switcher and their libraries aggregate. Each server tracks its own watch positions and favorites.
